Veteran's Day

HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY to all the Veterans out there!

Our MIG is an OIF Veteran. He spent over 12 months in Iraq and was stationed at Ft. Hood, TX for 6 months before heading over.
In the next few months, many more of our local troops (we have an armory here) are set to leave for Afghanistan as well as Kuwait.
Thank you for your service. We appreciate all you do to keep our great country safe.

Ant Kat, thank you for your service in the Air National Guard.

Veteran's Day

As you all may know, our MIG is an Iraqi War Vet. His unit was deployed for 6 months to Ft. Hood, TX then 12 months in Iraq. The entire unit got home safely last 13 September 2007.

We're so proud of his service, along with so many others.

Thank you.

Thanks to Veterans

THANK YOU TO ALL VETERANS. Your service means the world to us. THANK YOU!

We posted originally yesterday with the intention of not blogging today. So, we changed the date to today and decided to post Zoolatry's awesome graphic they made for us when our Man in Green came home.

Veteran's Day

We wanted to take a minute to thank all our Veterans who proudly served the US and made it so us kitties (and woofies and our beans) could have good lifes.

As you probably remember (Or may not know, if you are a new reader), Our Man in Green just got back in September from Irak. He was gone many months (18 total, spending 12 in Irak). He's a hero to us! Their unit is a great bunch of guys who know their job very well and work really great together. The unit had over 7000 flight hours while on their tour. The entire unit came home and suffered no major injuries.

Our mom went to a "Freedom Salute" last night for the Man in Green. The highup beans in the Iowa National Guard came to thank the unit. Mom and the Little Monkey got to go on stage and have their picture taken too. It was a way to say thank you to the families of the soldiers as well.

It's important to remember our Veterans! And remember the sacrafices not only the soldiers make, but their families as well.

We salute our Veterans! Happy Veteran's Day Man in Green! Happy Veteran's Day Dragonheart's Dad! Happy Veteran's Day to ALL veterans!
