Thursday Thirteen #27

If you are in the US, you probably know that the Democratic cauceses are TODAY here in Iowa. Our mom is hijacking the blog to tell you 13 reasons why she will be glad they are OVER. She knows it's important, but it sure has been annoying the last few months!

Thirteen things we (our mom) won't miss about the Iowa Caucauses.

1. The recorded phone calls from the candidates.
2. The phone calls from the candidates "local" representative.
3. All the mailings! We've gotten them from people in other states, campaigning for their person.
4. Unknown people dropping by at night..... late at night. They want to talk about their candidate.
5. The billboards will go away.
6. NO MORE TV ADS!
7. No more radio ads!
8. Being "First in the Nation" isn't all it's cracked up to be.
9. The newspapers will carry other news.
10. No more Political survey calls asking if she is going to caucus and if so, who for.
11. The TV news will talk about something else!
12. The candidates will basically forget about Iowa now.
13. No more candidate visits means that there will be no unexpected road closures or places that are closed because of it.

This is Cyclone Cat's mom Jennifer and I approved this message! HA!

Yeah, Bean thinks there should be way to stop candidates from calling your house. They are worse then telemarketers sometimes.

I do not blame you for feeling that way, it sounds very annoying. But we cannot wait to see what happens!

That sounds very annoying. We think we are glad we aren't American.

Oh boy, my momma hates even all of the news reports on every drink of water that the candidates have. She can't imagine actually being in Iowa.

No wonder your mommy will be glad when it is all over! Mommy hates the phone PERIOD. She'd cry if people kept calling her like that.

I hope you kitties are caucusing for Chey and I! We have not been visiting, blocking streets, sending mailer or calling late at night.

Are your beans actually going to one of these things?

I don't believe we have to caucus as we are the only candidates in the party of Felines for Total World Domination. Besides, no one ever closes roads for me. I so wish they would... sigh.

My mom says she already has voter fatigue and we don't even live in Iowa!

We are in New Hampshire, and we feel your pain. We understand COMPLETELY! Mom doesn't even bother to answer the phone when it rings, she just lets the answering machine get it. And the stack of mailings enormous.

Everytime da new, da radio, or some other place sez something about any of da candidates mom makes a bad noyze and either mutes da tv, or turns off da radio. Needless to say we don't watch much tv or lissen to any radio. She is sooooo sick of it.

We don't live in Iowa or even the US, but we hear about it on da TV.

Our national elections were in November last year here in Australia. The TV and Radio ads were bad enough, but at least there were no phone calls or home visits - sheesh! That's just so wrong! Our Mum has a lot of sympathy for your human family.
