Purrrrssss for Jesse...

My sister Jesse is at the V E T right now.
At our annual checkup a couple weeks ago, the V E T decided Jesse throws up her food whole cuz her teeths are bad. So, mom and the Monkey scooped her up in the P T U this AM and took her to the V E T. She will have a dental in the morning and get to come home after 4 pm CST tomorrow.
Say a purr for her, ok?

In other news, a big bike ride is happening across Iowa. It's going through our town tomorrow and some famous biker bean that wears yellow is riding that particular leg. Mom isn't wild about the crowd so she'll probably pass on his trip.

AND our little monkey is not so little anymore. He's 5 now! ! ! ! ! He starts pre-kindergarten in a few weeks and mom starts her FINAL semester of nursing school!!!

apparently I'm the only one with excitement in her life...

Well, I went to the V E T the other day. It was miserable. The Little Monkey went too and he pointed at me and tried to tell me it'd be ok. All the way there. I think it was the longest car ride EVER! I mean, it must have lasted HOURS AND HOURS! (from mom: they are doing road construction on that side of town. 10 minutes TOPS) He laughed at me, but tried to tell me it would be ok.

They weighed me in the PTU then after they had to PRY APART the PTU, they weighed it. I only weigh 12 pounds. I'm down .2 lbs from last year so that's healthy.

Why was I there to begin with? How embarassing to tell you....I have really bad breath. Like awful yucky breath. Mom's friend looked at my mouth last week (she's a V E T but she's nice) and told mom I needed to go in to have a good looking at.

I have some infection in my mouth and am on some pills to help wit the smell/infection. Once mom gets the money together, I have to go back.

FOR A WHOLE NIGHT. The V E T said I need a cleaning and probably some teeth pulled. What a bummer.

In other news, the MIG is sick. Will you purr for him? The Little Monkey has a cold too. Mom is the only one that is healthy and she says that's good, otherwise our entire world here would fall apart.

the PTU is out...

the PTU is out.

This is not cool. I heard Mom tell the Little Monkey that I'm going to the V E T. That is so not cool. First, I hate the PTU. I hate the car. I hate the V E T. And I especially don't like the Little Monkey going along to witness my humiliation at the stabby place.

Mom's friend (who is a stabby cat person) looked in my mouth on Sunday while she was here to celebrate mom's birthday. She said that it looked like I have some infection and pus pockets in my mouth. Probably a bad tooth too.

So, I'm being drug to the stabby place today.

Mancat Monday

Here I am, being a big brave Mancat at the V E T last week. I came right out of the PTU and sat nicely until Dr. T came in.
This is my mom, or Ant Kat or whomever. It's confusing. She was giving me loves while I was being brave.
This is me telling my mom or ant that I was ready to go home.

In other news, the Mom that Lives Here starts another class today. It's anatomy/physiology. She has to diessect a................

the rumors were true!

it was true! The PTU's came out, we were stuffed in them and put in the big machine! Oh, it was horrible.
Where did we end up? The V-E-T! Mom said it was that time of year.
Our Ant Kat went so all 3 of us could go on the same day.

The bad news: Jesse really really needs her teeth cleaned. Soon. SHe's only gained 1 oz since our last viist. She got a shot (distemper)

Conner has to have his teeth cleaned, but not as badly as Jesse. He's gaind 1 1/2 pounds since last year!!! Dr. T was a little concerned so she said Mom has to start giving us a little less food and trying to get him to play more. He got a shot too (distemper)

Dazey gained about a pound since last year. Her teeth are good. She got a shot of distemper too.

The good news: Dazey is done for another year. Conner and Jesse will have to go back in the next couple months.

V-E-T trip

Hi everybody, it's Conner Cloud.

I comed out of my suite to tell you abut my trip to the V-E-T. The MTLH took me there the day before my tooths work. They packed my up in my PTU with2 mouses and my catnip blanket. It was a nice place. I had my own space and room enough for Snowy when she teleported over! It was fun to snuggle with her cuz I was sorta scared. But I was brave like a big lion! THey didn't give me no foods fora while so I gotted pretty hungry. They also did the vampire thing where they taked my blood and didn't give it back. They said that was all normal and good.

I don't member much after that. I know my mouth hurts a little and I'm wobbly and someimes I fall down. The V-E-T and the MTLH says that should go away soon. I just taked my 2 medicines, just like a good boy. It taked a litle bit to get them down but I did it. I had some ocean whitefish stinky goodness too. HAHAHA Jesse and Dazey don't get any....AND they hissed at me when I came out this morning. When I am done here I am goin to go back in there and lay down some more.

The MTLH and my 2-legged kitten camed and gotted me. I was so happy to see them I was saying "MEOW MEOW MEOW". The 2-legged kitten laughed and tried to pet me through the PTU.
When we gotted back here, my Ant Kat was here. SHe helped get me settled. I was really wobbly then. I didn't want to stay in the room they gotted ready for me. I wanted to go lay on the MTLH's bed. That's my favoritest spot in the whole world. THey wouldn't let me though.

Snowy came back again and we snuggled on my rug and watched cartoons cuz the MTLH left the tv on in the little room for me. Snowy is a good nurse. I forgotted my mouth even hurt!
I got stinky goodness last night too!

The V-E-T says I had 9 tooths pulled. The MTLH saw the tooths and one was totally BLACK! It was gross. The V-E-T lady says we have to keep a close eye on my tooths now to make sure they are all ok. I am going to go lay down now. Thank yous for your prurryers and pawsitive thoughts for me the last two days! I is so glad to be home! Even if Dazey and Jesse hiss at me. But I did get lovies from the 2-legged kitten this morning and when I gave him lovies, I almost knocked him over!

Update on Conner Cloud

I just called the vet (1pm CST) to see how Conner was doing. She said he did very well, was wide awake and was resting comfortably. They did have to pull some teeth, although she did not tell me how many. He had a shot for pain right after the extraction. I can go pick him up after 4 CST today.

Thanks to all the kitties and their beans for the pawsitive thoughts for Conner! Also, thanks to Snowy for teleporting up from Florida to be with Conner last night!

I'll try to post again tonight or first thing tomorrow.

Hi everybody!

Our Mom that Lives Here took Conner to the V-E-T about 430 CST time today. Snowy was going to teleport over to keep him company. He took 2 mice and his catnip blanket with him.



The V-E-T tech told our mom that he should be ready to come home around 4 pm tomorrow. They'll probably call mid-morning to let her know how he is and if they had to pull some tooths.
Making sure he's in there and ready to go.

Hi everybody...it's Conner.

The Mom that Lives Here stopped at the V-E-T to get my medesin for tooths. I start taking pills on Sunday (2 a day!). She tolded me she got some treats to put them in (they are called pill pockets). I hopes they taste good.

I'm very nervous about this dental thing. For one, I don't like to ride in the moving masheen. For two, I don't likes to go away from home. For three, I likes to be able to eats whenever I want and Tuesday when I go to the V-E-T, they won't give me no foods overnight. They are gonna clean my tooths on Wednesday but I is spending the night at the V-E-T on Tuesday.

I will tell Dazey to keep you posted bout me! I'm going to try to be brave like a lion..........

Tails of Torture on Tuesday

As you remember, yesterday we haded to go to the V-E-T for something called a distemper shot.
We wented to a new V-E-T and the MTLH and our Ant Kat liked this stabby place A LOT MORE BETTER than the old place.
They took the time to way us (Dazey is 12.3 pounds and Conner is 12.1 pounds. They never tolded MTLH what Jesse ways).

This is us, getting ready to go in Ant Kat's red macheen to the V-E-T.(Please let me out! I'll be a good boy, I promise!)

We cried and cried all the way there. On the way there, Dazey got to sit in the middle of the backseat and see out the front window.

Conner was the only brave kitty to get out of the dreaded PTU when we got there so he was the first one to get looked at by Dr. T. She said he was very handsome! Conner is all healthy and got his shot. He did want to try to climb the walls and jump to the window though. Oh yeah....Cloudie has to go back to the V-E-T on the 19th for an overnight stay. He is going to gets his teeth cleaned and Dr. T said she might even have to pull a few. We was wondering why his breath was so stinky! Morning breath ALL THE TIME!!!

(No pictures of Jesse and Dazey) Dazey did good too. The V-E-T thought she was very pretty (Well, duh!) and she gotted her 1 shot and her nails trimmed. She hissed at the tech then but then she was all done.

Jesse got the shot and her nails trimmed too. The MTLH talked to Dr. T about the pooping on the floor. She gotted some good advice to try. She couldn't believe that our old BAD BAD V-E-T just told our mom to have Jesse go to the Bridge because she pooped on the floor (that was 4 years ago). We really liked this new V-E-T. She took the time to talk to us and pet us and talk to the MTLH and our Ant Kat about us. Hooray for nice V-E-T's!

After we gotted home, we got Temptations! It helped a lot.

Our Man in Green's Mom is coming today!

PS-Only about 6 more weeks until our Man in Green is home from Irak for a little bit! YAY YAY YAY!

we survived!

We survived our trip to the V-E-T! We all got 1 distemper shot.

The rumors are TRUE!

OH NO! OH NO! HELP HELP HELP US!

The 3 PTU's are up out of the basement. That's a sure sign that the horrible, nasty rumor about a V-E-T visit today is true!

Rumors!

Jesse heard a rumor at our house that Monday is a V-E-T day! Oh no! We sure hope not!
The MTLH got a postcard from the man in blue shorts that it's time for SHOTS!! We are going to go hide out all weekend.

Our computer feels better!

Well, the computer V-E-T comed and fixed our computer. MTLH says of course it won't do the stuff that she called about when he was here. Also turns out our DVD (What's a DVD?) burner (Like the stove? She burns things there!) is broked so it has to be taken to the V-E-T on Friday to get fixed.

We are so happy it's not anything more bigger than that!
