Last week, you learned about our Ant Kat. Today, we'll tell you about our Man in Green who is currently serving in Irak.
His birfday is coming up. In fact, it is on 17 April. He will be.........28 squillion years old!
He had 2 gerbils as pets growing up. No puddins' or woofies! When he met our mom, he got 2 kitties! (Conner came along later).
He has been in the Iowa National Guard since September 1999.
Our Man in Green has been in Irak since September 2006. He is in an aviation (Blackhawk UH-60 helicopter) unit. This is his first (and we hope last) deployment. We miss him lots and lots!(The Man in Green is in the Middle and Conner's first daddy is on the right)
He will be home for two whole weeks at the end of July!!!!!
He has been to Egypt, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, South Carolina, Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin for training!
He is 3 months and 2 days older than the Mom that Lives Here.
Dazey likes him the best. She sleeps on him when he is home.
He has two older brothers. They both have woofies. So, we have 2 woofie cousins. One is named Bullet and the other is named Abbott.
The Mom that Lives Here and the Man in Green grew up about 50 miles apart and never knew each other until she lived in Ames and he lived here in this town!
He likes fishy, shrimp and other things that live in the water! That is GREAT when there are leftovers!
He had LASIK i surgery almost 3 years ago. He sees real good now!
He tells everybody that he does not like kitty cats! (But in secret, he tells our Mom that Lives Here he really does! He did tell her though that if she got another kitty while he was gone, then he would live somewhere else! MOL!)
Here's to you, Dad! Our hero, our Man in Green!
This post is dedicated to our Man in Green, Dragonheart's dad and all of the brave miltary personnel worldwide who are risking their lives protecting us.

Your Man in Green sure is a hero! We will pray for his safety!
Thank your Man in Green for his service. I hope it's his only deployment too. My dad has been to Kuwait/Saudi Arabia (first gulf war) and done peacekeeping missions in Haiti, Bosnia, and Eritrea. When we move back to Canada in 2009, he'll probably end up doing a tour in Afghanistan, since it looks like Canada is there for the long haul.
I keep your Man in Green in my prayers, along with all the other deployed personnel.
We would like to add our thank you to the list. We are proud of each and every person who has been deployed on this mission. Come home safe.
I almost furgots to tell you'z this. Your man in green and my Uncle B. have the same birfday.- Snowy

The fact that your Man in Green likes seafood definitely makes for yummy leftovers! I had some of my mom's salmon last night, and it was yummy! :)
