Back to the grind.

After that blizzard, mom finished the semester (Microbiology) and was home with us for a month. (Goes back to FT nursing school on Monday!) That was nice she was home so much.

The week of Christmas, we had another storm so mom, the MIG and the Little Monkey got to stay home on Christmas, instead of going to the MIG's family 2 hours away. The next day, mom's family came down.
They are still waiting to celebrate with the MIG's family.

Like we said, mom starts FT nursing school on the 11th. So, we'll have even less time to blog than we have had. So, it looks like we may be on a long-term vacation for a while. Mom expects to be pretty busy and the Little Monkey will start going to day care full time too.

Have I mentioned that I let him cuddle with me now? He says he's my best friend and he gives me kisses and hugs every night before he goes to bed. When I've had enough, I let him know. (!Conner)

Last week, the beans watched the ISU Cyclones (our namesake) win the Insight.com bowl! YAY! Tonight, they will be cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes in their bowl game.

More snow (4-7") is predicted for tomorrow. On top of the 2+ feet already on the ground! It's been pretty cold here too.

snow!!!!

We gotted some snow! Well, a few flurries but some stuck to the alley out back! It sure got cold quick, as mom had the windows open on Monday and today it's COLD! They are talking "scoopable" white stuff next week. Mom's kinda excited for that. But then it gets old fast.

Another thing that gets old is SCHOOL! she'll be done with THIS semester next Friday. she's glad but then in January she starts her nursie program and will be gone 4 days/week instead of 3 like now. And from early in the morning until later in the day.

We hope you all had a nice turkey day. Our beans went to the MIG's gradpa bean's house. They didn't bring us anything!

Mom's been cleaning and getting things out to get ready for Santy Claws. The tree is coming out tonight or tomorrow!!

snow, cold, winter, Iowa

**Edited to add** As of 2:00 PM, CST we have about 3 inches of snow. It's cold too.

It's snowing. The weatherbeans say anywhere from 1-7" inches. Mom doesn't know why they just can't agree on a number.



It was really really cold the last few days. Windchills around -30* with lots of wind. Makes us very happy to have a warm home to live in.



With the cold and snow, that means winter is here in Iowa. Yuck.



At least our Chrissymouse tree is up. I'm a little confused about it b/c I take a nibble then have to go throw up some stuff. It's just so tempting! I tried to climb it the other day but mom yelled so I stopped.

The Little Monkey seems to be over his cough/ickies for now. He's like us-stuck inside when it's cold out. Mom says it aggrevates his breathing to be out in the cold. At least mom stays home more when it's cold!

Thursday Thirteen #26

This is our first day posting after Chrissymas. We hope everycat had a good day!

Our family had to come home early from their trip because the Little Monkey got sick. So, we weren't alone all night! But the mom and Man in Green were only in the bed for 3 or 4 hours so we didn't get much cuddling time. They had to take Little Monkey to the ER in the morning cuz he was coughing really bad. The bean vet said it was just a cold-mom wasn't happy about that answer though.

Then, instead of going to our gramma's house, our gramma, grandpa, Ant Kat, Uncle Travis and Uncle Bruce came here! So, we weren't alone on Chrissymas either!

Can you belive that they had to take the Little Monkey to the ER again on Chrissymas night?!! He ran off after his bath and fell into the dresser and got cut above his eye. He got 4 stitches! Mom said he is doing just fine, that it does not bother him at all. This is him...you can see his owie above his eye.

Whew....anyway, on to the last Thursday Thirteen of 2007!!

13 Things we want to do in 2008!

1. Go outside more!


2. Eat lots and lots and lots of Temptations and other treats!


3. Beg for more tuna!


4. Find a stinky goodness all 3 of us like!


5. Find new nappy spots!


6. Drink more fishy water from Goner's bowl (Mom's not happy about that)


7. Let the Little Monkey pet us (maybe)


8. Blog more regularly (MOM!)


9. Comment more on our friend's blogs. We read a lot of them, but don't always leave comments.


10. Get up on the counter where we are not supposed to be (Mom doesn't like this one either)


11. Pose for more pictures for our blog.


12. Meet new blogging friends!


13. HAVE THE BEST YEAR EVER! Me and Jesse are gonna be 7 years old in April and Conner will be 6 in March!
