The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for snow, sleet, and freezing rain, which is in effect from noon Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday.

Between the Highway 3 and Highway 30 corridors, precipitation will be mainly in the form of snow, with accumulations of 5 to 7 inches likely through Thursday night. (we're right at Hwy 30-it's runs through on the south edge of town. Hwy 3 runs through mom's hometown up north, where her parents still live). We gotted 3-4 inches of the white stuff on Tuesday so this is not cool at all.

We're getting tired of all this white stuff already. We're looking for spring, SOON!

**Edited to add** As of 2:00 PM, CST we have about 3 inches of snow. It's cold too.

It's snowing. The weatherbeans say anywhere from 1-7" inches. Mom doesn't know why they just can't agree on a number.



It was really really cold the last few days. Windchills around -30* with lots of wind. Makes us very happy to have a warm home to live in.



With the cold and snow, that means winter is here in Iowa. Yuck.



At least our Chrissymouse tree is up. I'm a little confused about it b/c I take a nibble then have to go throw up some stuff. It's just so tempting! I tried to climb it the other day but mom yelled so I stopped.

The Little Monkey seems to be over his cough/ickies for now. He's like us-stuck inside when it's cold out. Mom says it aggrevates his breathing to be out in the cold. At least mom stays home more when it's cold!

We have the white stuff on the ground. Mom hates it. (not a lot, but the weather beans are saying more is coming)

This is me, back in the spring. I wish it were spring now. See, no snow on the ground!

Winter's Coming

It's been cold and windy here lately. We miss the outside despretley. (That's a big word and none of us are good spellers!) We like spring and summer cuz that's when we get to go out in the backyard to chase bugs, eat grass and just feel like big tough outside cats. Winter is coming our mom that lives here says. She's not happy about that, either are we.

We've been making sure that the mom that lives here gets plenty of cuddles. We all sleep with her at night, although Dazey goes and sleeps on the bathroom rug, in front of the heater hole sometimes.
