This is our Florreeduh kitty cousin, Jessie. She lives with our gramma's sister. That is where the 2-legged kitten, the MTLH and our gramma went when they lefted us. (They went to a place called Tampa).
Our Auntie Sharon told our MTLH how they got Jessie. She was probably dumped off in the neighborhood! Why would someone do that to such a pretty girl?!? When Auntie found her in the backyard, her tail was all crooked and bent. Our auntie (being a nurse and all) knew something was wrong with Jessie's tail. It took a long time(3-4 months) for our auntie and uncle to gain Jessie's trust. Over 3 months....she must have been on her way to becoming feral. One day, Auntie Sharon had her back screen door open and Jessie just ran on inside!
Auntie Sharon finally got Jessie to the V-E-T.....they had to amputate the bottom half of her tail. It looked like someone had tied something very tight around her tail. She must have been loved by someone once because she had already had her hoo-ha-ectomy. The V-E-T estimated her to be about 3-3 1/2 years old. Auntie said since at first they didn't know what she was, they needed a name that could go for a girl or a boy kitty so Auntie Sharon named her Jessie!
She is not really fond of other people, especially kids. She saw the 2-legged kitten and would turn around and run away! She did let the MTLH love on her, but not pick her up!
She gets stinky goodness 2 times a day! She is a lizard hunter, like Daisy!! She goes outside in the morning and when she wants to come into the house, she jumps up onto the window sill telling Auntie Sharon she is ready to come in. She has to stay in the house all night long though because owls like to eat little kitty cats like her! She only weighs about 7.5 pounds! That's 2 Dazeys put together! In the above picture, you can see that Jessie is way up by the ceiling. She gets in trouble for that! She jumps from the floor, to a display case, to another then up to the shelf.
Our auntie Sharon puts out crunchies for the neighborhood. There are some friendly kitties that live there, our MTLH said. They even saw a possum eating kitty crunchies one night and Auntie Sharon has even seen racoons eat there!!
