We are furry excited that our mom is coming home. We told you she is coming home 13 times, so we hope that counts as our Thursday Thirteen! We hope she brings us lots of treats for leaving us behind and only taking the 2 legged kitten. We should be able to be back to normal blogging by Friday or this weekend. We need to catch up on everything going on in the blogosphere!

Thursday Thirteen #16

Our Ant Kat says we should tell you about our 2-legged kitten or baby bean. So, here are 13 facts about the 2-legged kitten that lives with us (and steals all our attention now!)

• He's a boy. He has his hoo-has.


• The Mom that Lives Here calls him Ike, Monkey, Boo Boo, Squeak, or Bubby.


• He sometimes pulls Conner's tail.


• He makes a mess with his foods. He doesn't have to eat it out of a bowl on the floor like us.


• He likes baths, unlike us.


• He is younger than all of us but weighs more than all of us. (at his last V-E-T 'pointment he was 21 lbs! That is more than any of us (Don't tell but dazey is over 15 pounds!)


• He plays the Whirlybird with us sometimes!


• He doesn't have his own litterbox. The Mom that Lives Here puts him up on a table like thing and takes something off him the whole time saying "PU. Hold still. Don't roll over". We have no idea what that is all about.


• He has his own bedroom. He doesn't get to sleep with the Mom that Lives Here like we do.


• He has some of the same outfits that the Man in Green does.


• He HAS A STROLLER! We are very jealous. We thought it was for us, but the Mom that Lives Here takes the 2-legged kitten out on walks, like Skeezix or Daisy get to go on.


• There are these gate things in the kitchen doors now that we have to jump over. It's not cool at all.


• He is learning to move really fast. We have to spend all day up in the Mom that Lives Here's bed to stay away from him.

The Ginormus Litterbox!

Here is the GINORMUS litterbox we mentioned yesterday. The Mom that Lives Here says it's a sandbox for the 2-legged kitten. WHAT? It's a huge litterbox mom....you wouldn't have to scoop for a week or two in a box that big!!

Weekend

Hi everybody! Dazey here.

Did you know that beans don't appreciate you walking across their throat at 3 AM? They don't care if you are starving to death. They just throw you on the floor and just roll back over! I mean, I could have died! I had no food! The horror! That was yesterday.

This morning, the MTLH didn't like getting the bitey for not getting up to feed us. At least I waited this morning: 5:30! She thumped me on the nose, told me to move and tried to back to sleep. She didn't like that I was sitting on her pillow either. Then I put my paw on her mouth, which is my signal with the Man in Green that I'm hungry. He gets it...why doesn't she? We didn't get fed until 6:30 and that's only because the 2-legged kitten wouldn't sleep anymore.

Hope you are having a better weekend than me! Oh, and to top it off, she left us all alone yesterday while she went to gramma's house!

Still Trying to stay warm!

It is still cold here in IOWAH! Right now it is 0*F but feels like -20*F. This is one of the coldest days in a long, long time! The weather man is saying windchills may get to -20*F. The MTLH and the 2-legged kitten are staying in the house today to cuddle

with us!

Jesse is the only one who has the right idea! Best to stay UNDER the blanket to keep warm!!

Super Cold Sunday

It's pretty cold outside our windows today. The sun is shining but mom says that is deceiving. It's currently only 9* outside! It's supposed to stay cold outside the next few days. In fact, the crazy weather man is saying that tomorrow night the wind chill will be -10* F or more! That makes for cold poodins!

The MTLH hasn't leeved the house today. Her and the 2-legged kitten stayed home from church so the kitten doesn't get sick again. So she been busy with the stuff-sucking machine. It scares not only us, but the 2-legged kitten too! He screams when it makes its noise! We just runs and hides under the bed. He can't run yet so he has to stay there!

The MTLH spoke to the Man in Green today on the telephone. It's 55* there today, which would feel great! Almost warm enough for open windows!

Keep thinking warm thoughts and hopefully, spring will show up soon!

Friendly Friday (Thanks Kimo and Sabi)

First, a thanks to Kimo and Sabi for an idea for today! None of us are formerly feral or frootbats so we going post some friendly photos (and maybe one of family too since we want to!){The other picture is our 2-legged kitten and the MTV and of course, Connner Cloud.}

It is supposed to snow again here this weekend. The crazyweather people are saying 3-5 MORE inches of that cold white stuff starting tomorrow. And cold cold cold....When will it be spring so we can open the windows again?

Snowy Saturday?

The Mom that Lives Here says the weather people are talking about snow. That's that white cold stuff that falls from the sky. It makes our feet wet if it gets inside. We don't like it at all. We are going to post some pictures that the MTLH took for us from our squirrel watching window this morning. We'll call these the "before" pictures. And, if the weather people are right, we'll post the "after" pictures tomorrow. It's really cold out there too, Mom says. Maybe that's why we all sleeped in her bed with her last night!

Current temperature at our house at 9:45 AM CST: 9* F which feels like -4* with a 10 mph wind from the NNE.

Update: Here is what the ground looked like at 12:30 PM CST. Current Temp: 12*F which feels like 3*. 6 MPH winds from the North.

The MTLH and the 2-legged kitten are going to venture out to another 2-legged kitten's birthday party in an hour. That means we have the house to ourselves for a while! Hehehe
