Friday

First, THANKS for all the birfday wishes we gotted last week! We had a good day. We gotted stinky goodness (only on special occasions cuz it normally makes one of us, if not all, yak) and some new mousies!! Lots of pets too!

The Mom and MIG are going away tonight! And are going to be gone for 2 whole nights! They're leaving the Little Monkey here though. So, we'll have some new people to investigate (if we're brave enough to come out)

The beans also gotted a new desk! IT's REALLY BIG! It'll be fun to play on! And a new computer to go on it. We'll have mom post pictures next week. Jesse is going to lose her kitty cat warming box. (I don't think she knows that yet!)

It's been warm this week and cool this week. The weather guessers are saying rain. All.Next.Week. That means......no open windows.

Mom goes back to school next week. We gotted to sleep in with her this week cuz she was on somethin' called Spring break.

13 things that have kept us from blogging

It's been almost 2 weeks since mom helped us blog. Wanna know why? Here's why...

1. We had some really nice weather-OPEN WINDOW weather. We preferred to sit in the windows rather than blog. (but now the beans say snow tomorrow 6-10").

2. The MIG and the Little Monkey were sick. Then they got better.

3. Now mom thinks the Little Monkey is sick again. He's coughing bad and wheezing. She thinks it's an ear infection cuz those are always his symptoms (and that's what he had 2 weeks ago)

4. School keeps her busy. She's taking 2 classes this time-a speech class for 3 hours on Monday nights and anatomy (again-she withdrew last time) which meets 2x/week.

5. The MIG's mom was here the other day. We gotted some new toys.

6. Mom's mom was here last week.

7. Mom had to watch a little blurpy thing last week.

8. The MIG and mom went out to dinner for their anniversary- a week late. It's cuz everybody had been sick.

9. We've been mourning the loss of some of our kitty friends.

10. We've been hiding from the Little Monkey (Conner, especially).

11. Nothing exciting ever happens so we didn't have anything to blog about.

12. Did we tell you we had the windows open like 3 days in a row? Two days it got to 60*! In IOWA! IN FEBRUARY!

13. Mom's macbook had to fly away for a while. The screen died (and it was only 3 weeks old!) But it flew away and got fixed and she got it back.

We'll probably be sporadic for a while, but we'll be around. Mom has a really big unit to study in her anatomy class so that will take up a lot of time. And she has to prepare a speech for her class on Monday. And to to a wedding (weather permitting) on Saturday. And make supper for some firends on Sunday. *sigh* we'll see her when she sleeps, we guess.

New Year, New Stuff

This is our first blog of 2009! We've been outta the loop, as usual.

There is some new stuff around our house in the new year!

1-The mom bought us a FURMINATOR! WE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! It's the bestest brush thing EVER. Have you tried it? Jesse loves it best.


2-The Mom gotted a new desk. Big whoop. It's inna room we can't go in anyway.


3. The Mom musta been really good cuz she also gotted a new computer! It came the other day. It's small and has a weird glowing light on it that Conner is afraid of when it's on. She says it's a Macbook. She's never used a Macbook, has always used a pc so she is learning. She likes it so far.


4. The Mom starts school again Monday. 2 mornings/week plus 1 night/week.


5. The Little Monkey gotted this kitchen thingy from Santy Claws. it's a good spot to sit on and look out the window.


6. It's not new, but there is snow on the way. And freezy cold rain.


We'll have a quiet weekend. The MIG has to play army this weekend so he won't be around much. Mom and the Little Monkey are going to a birfday partee tomorrow. (well, if the weather is good)

one year ago today

One year ago today, our MIG came home for good from Irak. He was gone a total of 18 months. He spent 6 months in Texas and 12 months in Irak. We all missed him very much and are so happy he is home with us!

Today is also the day that Iowa gets separated. It's the Iowa State CYCLONES (YEA!) Vs the University of Iowa Hawkeyes (boo, hiss) football game.

where we been wednesday

we've been missing again.

Here's why:

Last MOnday, The Mom started a class called CNA. Something bout being a nursie some year. She's been gone every single day from the morning to the time the Monkey is sleeping in the after lunch time. We have a girl here to watch the Monkey. Then on the Saturday, she went to a bean bridal shower (the same day as Gree's). And was gone. All day. fpffff.
Monday, she had to go back to the CNA and yesterday and today and tomorrow and the next tomorrow. She said only 3 days after that next tomorrow. She's tired and cranky.

The MIG is somewhere in Eastern Iowa. Something about water, floods, levees and such. He left Monday. We're not sure when he'll be home.

Our Ant Kat was act-tee-vated last week. Same thing about floods, levess, water etc. She worked really hard with litter, we mean, sandbags. She gotted off duty yesterday but is on "standby" to maybe go to eastern Iowa.

So, we hope to be back next week.

Thursday Thirteen #29-HAPPEE ANNIVERSAREE!

(Their wedding cake. They gotted married 5 days after the MIG asked Mom. His old National Guard unit was sposed to go to Irak then. They never did. So, it was a small, private ceremony at mom's church. Ant Kat was the Maid of Honor and the MIG's good friend Steve was the Best Man. There were about 17 people besides Mom, the MIG and the pastor)

It's our mom and the MIG's 5th Wedding anniversaree today! So, we've known the MIG for a whole 6 years and a few weeks now!

Thirteen things that have changed in our lives since mom and the MIG gotted together (not just married)

1. Jesse and me (Dazey) got to come live in this big house. Before, we were living in an apartment with mom's ex-boyfriend. When she moved out, she couldn't take us with her. A couple months later, she came and got us!
2. Conner (and his old dad) came to live with us almost 6 years ago (August).
3. We've gone from a small bed in mom's room to a big bed!
4. We eat a different food now.
5. We use 3 litter boxes.
6. The Man in Green was gone for a very long time to Irak. We kept mom company.
7. The Little Monkey (then, 2-legged kitten) came around in July 06.
8. Mom doesn't go out day hunting anymore. She stays home all day.
9. We got 2 woofie cousins now-Abbott and Bullet.
10. There are a lot more windows that can open for us to lay in.
11. Mom used to have a hamster. he died before she came to live here though. Jesse and I would watch him through his cage and sometimes jump in with him!
12. Mom always tells the Man in Green that she has had me and Jesse longer than him! It's true! She gotted us 8 months before she ever met the Man in Green.
13. We get double the love and scritches!
