Happy Veteran's Day

To our (former) MIG and all Veterans....

Friday

First, THANKS for all the birfday wishes we gotted last week! We had a good day. We gotted stinky goodness (only on special occasions cuz it normally makes one of us, if not all, yak) and some new mousies!! Lots of pets too!

The Mom and MIG are going away tonight! And are going to be gone for 2 whole nights! They're leaving the Little Monkey here though. So, we'll have some new people to investigate (if we're brave enough to come out)

The beans also gotted a new desk! IT's REALLY BIG! It'll be fun to play on! And a new computer to go on it. We'll have mom post pictures next week. Jesse is going to lose her kitty cat warming box. (I don't think she knows that yet!)

It's been warm this week and cool this week. The weather guessers are saying rain. All.Next.Week. That means......no open windows.

Mom goes back to school next week. We gotted to sleep in with her this week cuz she was on somethin' called Spring break.

Thanksgiving Thursday Thirteen #25

Happy Thanksgiving EveryCat and Bean!

Thirteen things we are very thankful for this year:

  1. The biggest thing we are thankful for is that our Man in Green (and his entire unit) made it home from a 18 month tour of duty (12 months in Iraq).
  2. We are thankful (and grateful!) for all the troops that keep us safe. Our prayers are with those who aren't home with their families this holiday season. We certainly know what it's like to have someone missing at the holidays.
  3. We are thankful that us 3 kitties are all healthy and well-fed.
  4. We're thankful for Crunchies, clean water, clean litter boxes, temptations and the occasional meal of stinky goodness.
  5. NIP! (is it wrong to make this it's own number?!)
  6. We have a warm, cozy house to live in with our family. This is very important during Iowa winters or any other time there is snow on the ground (like RIGHT NOW! It snowed yesterday!)
  7. We are thankful we have beans who love us and take care of us. Even the little monkey, though he likes to give Dazey big loves she doesn't like.
  8. Mom says to be thankful for the bean's health. She's especially happy and thankful that the little monkey is much healthier than he was at this time last year (she says they finally got the asthma figured out and under control)
  9. We are so thankful for the Cat Blogosphere. We've met all sorts of cool and great cats! This is truly a special group that we are so thankful to have found.
  10. We're thankful for open windows when the weather is good! (not for a long while now)
  11. We're thankful for warm computer tv's to lay on when it's cold outside.
  12. We're thankful that the Little Monkey throws foods on the floor! We wouldn't get them otherwise!
  13. *Repeat* We're thankful to have a safe, warm, forever home with beans who take super great care of us!

HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Try to get some TURKEY!

Thankful for our Friends on Friday!!

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!

See what Maggy and Zoey created for us? This is just the greatest! You can go to their blog and read what they wrote too!

A special thanks to all the cats, woofies and beans out in the blogosphere that prayed and supported us these last 10 months (since we started blogging in November). Our Man in Green was gone almost 18 months and sadly missed a lot. Your prayers, kind words and overall support mean more to our family than you will ever know. It's been a great honor to us to be accepted into the blogosphere and knowing we have a great support system means a whole lot to our family.

Thanks on Thursday from our mom

I want to thank all the kitties and their beans who took time to offer up suggestions as to our litter box issues.
So far, I have

  • Taken the lid off one of the covered boxes
  • swept up all the litter around every box
  • moved one uncovered box to a different spot in the basement
  • moved the little box
  • I saw Jesse head down to the basement earlier tonight so I stalked her. I called her over to the newly moved box and just talked to her. She got in, peed, buried and was done. I praised her, telling her she was such a good girl.

The last 2 days, there has not been any messes on the floor. Hopefully, these solutions will work. Although, if it is stress that caused it, I am worried. I am leaving on the 15th for 9 days. Our "renter" will be here after 5 pm (he'll be in charge of feeding them through the week) and a friend will come in on the weekend. Jesse does not like him at all and only tolerates other people in her house. We'll have to just take it day to day, I guess.

Thank you very much. I certainly appreciate all the advice that was given. We are hoping to get back to regular posting/visiting in the next day or two. My son has been feeling a bit off lately so it was more important to tend to him. Thanks for understanding and again, THANKS FOR YOUR ADVICE!!

The man in the blue.....

The man in blue is probably wearing his mittens, coat and earmuffs (or maybe socks, like Sabi) cuz it's only 25* here this morning. But he bringed us something from The M's in Oklahoma! (We forgets why though!) It's a pink catnip mousie!!! He's great! We've all inspected him...

Conner determined that the mousie will stand up to bunny kick after bunny kick...

Thank you to the M's and their mom for sending us this fabulous mouse!!
